FPGA Mining: Field Programmable Gate Arrays Crypto Guide ...

I will not buy Bitcoin, and here's why.

Last weekend, I watched as the price of Bitcoins skyrocket from a few hours worth of work to an entire week's paycheck. This caused a giddy mania in me that I wanted in on this action, and I wanted to secure the price low so I can sell high. Maybe I can get in on the mining ordeal and put my Computer Science degree to good use by investing several thousand dollars into an FPGA/ASIC.
However, there is a major risk in my desire. Ultimately, I want to sell the Bitcoin for a liquid cash of high viscosity. I am not aware of many companies that accept Bitcoin, and those that do accept Bitcoin offer products and services that do not interest me. Ultimately, if I buy a Bitcoin, I will want to use it to pay my bills. In order to sell it and actually make money, I need the price to stay the same or continue rising.
My fear is that every other person on the Internet who is causing this surge in demand has the same goal: buy low, sell high. If they buy for $2000, and sell for $20,000, they might be that much closer to paying off their car, covering this month's utility bill, eating a fine dinner after a long track of ramen noodles and water, or possibly move away from their apartment into their very own house. However, with that $2000 stored in a currency that cannot be used for these activities without conversion, the consequence of a devalue will burn that individual away from ever storing their money in Bitcoin. If that $2000 was going towards these activities already and I decide to invest it, I might end up with nothing in return. I fear the time I decide to sell, so will everybody else, and the demand for Bitcoin will plummit and cause a crash in the market similar to Tulip mania.
Until I can pay my rent/buy my groceries/fill up my gas tank in Bitcoin, I will not participate in this market.

Bitcoin mining difficulty will usually only drop if Bitcoin prices do, but if that happens then your Bitcoin is worth less, which also pushes back the break-even point. As such, even if a cloud mining contract looks like it will be profitable, you’re still more likely to lose more than you earn. How Does FPGA Mining Work? Before we talk about how FPGA mining works, we need to explain the basics of crypto mining. Bitcoin and most other cryptocurrencies are made up of blocks of data. These blocks are linked to one another – in a chain – by unique strings of numbers and letters known as hashes.
